Introduction

Hello, my name is Ethan. I choose to read Compound by S.A. Bodeen. I choose this book because I thought it had an interesting plot that was worth reading and blogging about. A summary of what I have read so far starts with a young boy named Eli. Eli and his brother Eddie were celebrating their birthday on August 16th, towards the end of the party, nuclear warfare had been declared. Eli's brother, Eddie, had an allergic reaction to something so his grandmother decided she would drive back to the house and get his medicine while the others went to their father's secret underground bunker, not knowing that Eddie had crawled into the back of their grandmother's car. As soon as they reached the hatch that led into the bunker (without Eddie and their Grandmother) they hurried and crawled down it and went down the stairs. Eli's father was forced to shut the hatch before Eddie and his grandmother had reached it. Forcing them to burn cruelly in the nuclear rumble felt down inside the bunker. No one was able to sleep that night. Six years later, Eli had been snooping around the compound in the places that he was allowed in to see what was in there. He had found a letter inside of his dad's bible that was written 3 months ago that said: "TELL PHIL", which was his dad's accountant. Eli has been discovering clues that may be leading to the conclusion that the world was never in danger.
